About Angelica

Angelica Lopez-Arzate is a dedicated pianist, composer, and educator with a strong passion for inspiring others through music. She holds a degree from the National University of Mexico and earned her Master’s in Piano Performance from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada. Throughout her career, she has been the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships in recognition of her artistic achievements.

As a soloist, Angelica has performed in Mexico, Cuba, Bolivia, the USA, and Canada. She regularly organizes recitals to share music with her community and remains active as both a composer and performer.

Angelica is equally passionate about music education. A former Montessori student herself, she incorporates Montessori principles into her teaching—fostering a joyful, game-based learning environment that helps students connect emotionally with music. She strives to awaken each student’s creativity and personal voice, encouraging artistic expression through a fun and nurturing experience.

Angelica currently teaches in her own studio and is also on the faculty at Brentwood College and Queen Margaret’s School. Over the years, she has presented numerous concerts in concert halls, senior homes, and churches, bringing music to diverse audiences. She has also served as a jury member for the MusicNL Awards for three consecutive years, further contributing to the music community in meaningful ways.
